What the QR code contains

Where it works

Limits to check

A video can be the destination. Copy its full TikTok link and use it instead of a username; the username option always points to the profile.

Does TikTok already provide a QR code?

TikTok's My QR code shares a profile. A custom static code can follow the visual system of your other materials and include a logo. Destination updates and scan reports require a dynamic QR saved in your account.

What happens if the TikTok account is private?

The profile can still be found, but the owner controls who may follow and view private videos. The QR code does not grant access.

What happens after the code is scanned?

The device recognizes the encoded data and offers a suitable action. The exact behavior depends on the camera, operating system and installed apps.

Can I change a static QR code after downloading it?

No. Its data is written into the image. If the content changes, create and test a new QR code.
