Draft for review. Legal review is required before this document is published as the effective terms of service.

1. The service and these terms

These terms describe use of the public website, account dashboard and related services provided by the operator of Smart QR Codes. They cover individual users and people acting for a business or workspace.

The operator is Ozumni LLC.

Read these terms together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Refund Policy. Questions about the service or these documents can be sent to hi@smartqrcodes.io.

2. Accounts and authorised access

  • Provide accurate account information and keep access to your account email address.
  • Protect your password, session tokens, API keys and workspace invitations. Only give access to people and applications you authorise.
  • When acting for an organisation, make sure you have authority to use the service and manage its content. Workspace members can act within their assigned roles.
  • If you suspect unauthorised access, change compromised credentials, revoke affected keys where available and contact hi@smartqrcodes.io.

3. Available features

The service provides tools for static and dynamic QR codes, short links, mini-sites, scan analytics, API keys, the MCP server and support. Availability depends on the selected plan, permissions and the features enabled in your account.

An API key or MCP connection gives the connected application access within the permissions granted to it. Check those permissions before connecting an assistant or other client, and review actions it performs on your behalf.

The current plans and included features are described on the Pricing page. A feature mentioned elsewhere is not included in your plan unless the applicable offer provides it.

4. Plans, prices and limits

Plan prices are in USD. Current prices, billing periods, quotas and analytics access limits are shown on the Pricing page. Review the selected plan, total amount and billing period in checkout before confirming payment.

Limits can restrict creation, storage, reporting or other operations. After a paid period or trial ends, Free plan limits may apply. Some dynamic QR codes, short links or mini-sites may become unavailable until usage is reduced or a suitable plan is restored; exceeding a limit does not itself mean those objects have been deleted.

A plan change may affect access to existing objects and historical analytics. Check the limits before changing plans or printing materials that depend on a dynamic destination.

5. Your content and third-party rights

You are responsible for the destinations, text, images, contact details and other information you place in QR codes, links, mini-sites and forms. Only upload or publish content you are entitled to use, and provide any notices or permissions required when collecting information from other people.

You retain your rights in your content. You allow the operator to store, reproduce, display and transmit it to the extent needed to provide the functions you use, such as hosting a mini-site or resolving a link. Publicly shared content can be viewed or copied by its recipients.

Do not use the service for phishing, malware, fraud, infringement of rights, unlawful data collection, unauthorised access or evasion of technical limits. Do not include secrets or information unsuitable for public disclosure in materials you publish.

6. QR codes, destinations and availability

A static QR code contains its encoded data in the image. If that data is a web address, access to the destination still depends on the destination website. Dynamic QR codes and short links rely on the service resolving an active object and on applicable plan limits.

Before distributing or printing a code, test the final size, contrast, encoded information and destination. Keep copies of your original content. A successful preview does not guarantee that every printed copy, device or external destination will work.

Maintenance, technical faults and independent services can interrupt access. These terms do not promise a fixed uptime percentage or uninterrupted availability. Contact hi@smartqrcodes.io if a service problem affects your use.

7. Stripe payments and subscriptions

When payment is available, subscriptions are purchased through Stripe Checkout and managed through Stripe Customer Portal. Card details are processed by Stripe; the service does not store card numbers or card security codes.

A recurring subscription renews according to the billing period and amount presented when you subscribe, until renewal is cancelled. The account is updated after the payment or subscription status is confirmed by Stripe; returning from checkout alone does not confirm a successful payment.

Payment acceptance is currently disabled. This draft describes the Stripe payment arrangement for when checkout is enabled; it does not mean that purchases are currently available.

8. Cancellation and refunds

Use the billing section to open Stripe Customer Portal and follow the cancellation steps shown there. Check the confirmed cancellation date. If you cannot access the portal, contact hi@smartqrcodes.io for assistance.

For cancellation scheduled at the end of the paid period, paid access continues until the confirmed period end. An earlier end confirmed by Stripe can change that date. Cancellation and a refund are separate actions; cancelling renewal does not itself return an earlier payment.

For a payment problem or refund request, follow the Refund Policy. This draft does not establish a guaranteed refund window or automatic refund calculation.

9. Data, analytics and connected services

The Privacy Policy describes account data, published content and technical events. Server-side scan and click analytics can include IP addresses, browser details and approximate location; these records are not treated as anonymous by default.

A browser analytics choice does not disable the server events needed for redirects, security or scan reports. The Cookie Policy explains browser storage and the current website analytics arrangement.

External destinations, services embedded in your content, and clients you connect through API keys or MCP have their own terms and data practices. You choose which services to connect and what data to disclose to them.

10. Restrictions and ending use

The operator may restrict an object or account when necessary to address misuse, a security threat, a legal requirement or a material breach of these terms. Contact hi@smartqrcodes.io to ask for the reason for a restriction or to request a review.

You can stop using the service and request account deletion at hi@smartqrcodes.io. Manage any recurring subscription separately before leaving. Deleting browser data or no longer using the account does not cancel a subscription.

Account closure can make hosted content and dynamic destinations unavailable. Keep copies of material you need and address links you have distributed. Requests concerning retained records are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Responsibility and disputes

The operator is responsible for the service to the extent required by the rules applicable to your use. External websites, banks, network providers and connected applications can affect the outcome of an operation. Report a problem with relevant details so it can be investigated.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. This draft does not select a governing law or an exclusive court. Any dispute must be handled under the rules that apply to the parties and the circumstances.

12. Changes and contact

Revised terms will be available on this Terms page, with an updated revision date. Changes to features or payment arrangements need to be reflected in the applicable terms; this draft does not authorise undisclosed changes to an existing purchase.

For account, billing, content or contractual questions, contact the operator of Smart QR Codes at hi@smartqrcodes.io.
