About this format

How LinkedIn QR code works

Create a LinkedIn QR code for a member profile, company Page or post, with the correct public URL and a layout ready for professional print.

What the QR code contains

Enter a member handle for a linkedin.com/in/ profile. For a company Page, Showcase Page or post, paste its full LinkedIn URL so the /company/ or content path is preserved.

Where it works

LinkedIn's mobile app includes a unique QR code for each member profile. A custom static QR can instead open a company Page or post and use your professional design and logo. A destination that can be edited and scan tracking require a dynamic QR created and saved in an account.

Limits to check

Public profile visibility controls what signed-out visitors can see, and some details may still require a LinkedIn login. Page admins can change a public URL, so test the exact destination before and after major profile or company changes.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I link to a LinkedIn company Page?

Company Pages are supported. Paste the full Page URL; a handle alone is treated as a personal /in/ profile by the generator.

How is this different from LinkedIn's QR code?

LinkedIn gives every member a profile QR in its mobile app. A custom static code also supports company or post URLs, professional styling and a logo. Editable links and scan tracking are features of a dynamic QR saved in your account.

Can people view the profile without signing in?

Only the sections allowed by the member's public visibility settings are eligible to appear. LinkedIn may require a login to show the full profile.

What happens after the code is scanned?

The device recognizes the encoded data and offers a suitable action. The exact behavior depends on the camera, operating system and installed apps.

Can I change a static QR code after downloading it?

No. Its data is written into the image. If the content changes, create and test a new QR code.

Is an internet connection required for scanning?

Recognizing the code itself does not require the internet. A connection is needed when the result opens a website, file or another online resource.

How should I prepare a QR code for print?

Keep strong contrast, a clear quiet zone and the correct proportions. Test a sample on several devices at the final print size.
