About this format

How Google review QR code works

Create a QR code that opens the Google review form for a verified Place ID or review link.

What the QR code contains

Enter a Google Place ID beginning with ChIJ or paste an existing Google review link. A Place ID is converted to Google's local write-review URL.

Where it works

The business profile must be public and eligible to receive reviews on Google. The exact screen depends on the user's Google app, browser and sign-in state.

Limits to check

Google prohibits incentives for reviews, discouraging negative feedback and selectively asking only customers expected to leave positive reviews. Do not pressure customers or dictate what to write. The QR code cannot guarantee publication; verify the business name and location before printing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What happens after the code is scanned?

The device recognizes the encoded data and offers a suitable action. The exact behavior depends on the camera, operating system and installed apps.

Can I change a static QR code after downloading it?

No. Its data is written into the image. If the content changes, create and test a new QR code.

Is an internet connection required for scanning?

Recognizing the code itself does not require the internet. A connection is needed when the result opens a website, file or another online resource.

How should I prepare a QR code for print?

Keep strong contrast, a clear quiet zone and the correct proportions. Test a sample on several devices at the final print size.
